National Living Wage

A higher minimum wage tier set to cover basic living costs, used in the UK for workers age 21 and older.

The UK's National Living Wage is distinct from the Real Living Wage (calculated by the Living Wage Foundation as £12.60/hr outside London, £13.85 in London for 2025). Ireland is also moving to a national living wage set at 60% of median income by 2026.
